Attributes We Look For

Profitable

We look for profitable companies exceeding 15% SDE for the prior 36 months. While we'd consider companies in the 10-15% SDE, these are not our ideal acquisitions.

Broad Customer Base

We prefer to consider businesses in which no single customer represents more than 5% of revenue in any given year.

Geography

Our ideal acquisition target is a company selling to a large geography, ideally throughout the United States.

Legacy Industries

We look for businesses in industries difficult to disrupt such as manufacturing and specialty services.

Key Suppliers

Ideally, our acquisition targets sell a rather small part or service to a large audience. For example, a manufacturer of specialty machine parts used in most agricultural equipment.

Under the Radar

We're not interested in high-profile or new industries. We prefer "unsexy" companies in low-profile industries that are built to last.
